What I Am Reading:
"Popularity is only partially about individual attractiveness. It's much more about alliances. To become more popular, you need to be constantly doing things that bring you close to other popular people, and nothing brings people closer than a common enemy. Like a politician who wants to distract voters from bad times at home, you can create an enemy if there isn't a real one."
I do my best thinking and memorizing while pacing back and forth. This finally explains why!
When More Information Leads to More Uncertainty
A framework for coping — both cognitively and emotionally. Many times too much information is counter-productive and leads to bad, or even worse, no decision making.

With games like chess there are a finite amount of moves and all the information about the board and possible moves are available to you. However, in poker you are dealing with incomplete information, probabilities and the human psyche. This PODCast on Maria’s new book is one of the best I’ve listened to all month.

He is regarded as a highly knowledgeable investor in various stock, bond, and commodity markets, but is particularly noted for his prediction of various bubbles. In this conversation he discusses the current crisis, which he calls the fourth major event of his long and storied career as an investor. As he says, this one is the most uncertain. He also discusses unique topics like commodity-based companies, and how opportunity often lies between fields of expertise.
What I am Buying:
I initially bought this headset after seeing an Instagram ad for the Supernatural Oculus Workout App. I had to buy one from the Facebook marketplace because they were sold out everywhere. It was worth paying $150 over sticker price because since the day I bought it I have spent at least an hour before bed being blown away by the games and how unbelievably immersive and cool all the games are. I look forward to playing all the time. Warning: Don’t play it in a small area or when people are around because you are likely to knock into something or knock yourself or others out!
